Suzette Holley-Pelayo is a retired lifetime educator who spends a significant amount of her time  these days volunteering at Northeast ISD’s Adult and Community Education Program for Seniors, ALIR. (Advanced Learning in Retirement.) She started as a student at ALIR, became a teacher (again) there, and has served for the last year and 1/2 on ALIR’s Council heading the Curriculum Committee.

Her  background includes 35 years working full time in various school districts in Texas as well as 13 of those years living and working in Mexico City and Guadalajara.

She finally totally retired 2 years ago. Suzette describes herself as an extreme extrovert, an avid sports fan and a “novice wanna-be musician” playing the piano, as well as some guitar and ukulele.
